Delete your Cursus Books account

1. Open Cursus Books and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

1. Sign in at app.cursusbooks.com/profile.
2. In the Delete account section, select Delete account, then confirm.

For your security, you may be asked to sign in again before the deletion goes ahead.

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@cursusbooks.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may need to confirm that the account is yours before we delete it, and we will let you know when it has been done.

A parent or guardian deletes a child’s account from Profile → Manage family, in the app or on the web. Deleting a parent’s account also deletes the child accounts that parent manages.

When you delete your account, we permanently delete:

• your sign-in account, name, email address, username and date of birth;
• your books, chapters, pages, covers and illustrations;
• your reading progress, bookmarks and story choices;
• your family invitations, content reports, feedback and support requests;
• your subscription record in Cursus.

Deletion starts straight away and cannot be undone. Most data is removed within minutes.

Deleting your account cancels any active Cursus subscription, whether you pay through Google Play or on our website, so you will not be charged again. Cancelling does not refund the current billing period. A family member’s deletion does not change the family account holder’s subscription.

Payment and tax records held by Google Play or Stripe are kept by them as the law requires. We may keep a limited record that a first free book was used by a household, without any details that identify a child, and system logs used for security and reliability. You can delete an individual book from its reading screen in the app. To ask us to delete other data while keeping your account, email privacy@cursusbooks.com.
